Longitudinal cutting

Our company is ready to make longitudinal cutting of coiled electrical steel into strips (subcoils) from the customer’s material.

The line, put into operation in May 2020, allows obtaining a consistently high quality and significantly reducing the period for cutting strips for further processing.

Equipment capabilities:

  • Cutting electrical steel up to 0.5 mm thick (including grades NV30S-120, NV30S-130, T111-30s, T130-30S, M400, etc.)
  • Mother coil width up to 1250 mm
  • Mother coil weight up to 5 tons
  • burr on the edge, no more than 20 microns
  • deviation in roll width no more than 0.1 mm

We will be happy to provide our partners not only with services for the manufacture of assembled magnetic cores, but also separate longitudinal cutting of electrical anisotropic and isotropic steel into strips.

New equipment: Slitting line

Continuous improvement is one of the main goals of the company “Magnitola”. That is why we strive to expand the machine park, as well as upgrade existing equipment. We present a new slitting line for electrical steel (both transformer and dynamic). Launched in may 2020, the line allows us to get consistently high quality and significantly reduce the time of cutting strips for further processing.

Hardware features:

  • Cutting of electrical steel up to 0.5 mm thick (including NV30-120, NV30-130, T 111-30s, T 130-30S, M400, etc.)
  • Initial roll width up to 1250 mm
  • Weight of the initial roll up to 5 tons
  • edge Burr, no more than 20 microns
  • roll width deviation no more than 0.1 mm

We are glad to provide to our partners not only services for the manufacture of magnetic cores, but also with a separate longitudinal cutting of electrical anisotropic and isotropic steel into strips.

Power Grids 2019, Moscow

Traditionally, in early December, the Magnitosila team took part in the Power Grids forum.

The forum has established itself as a leading platform for communication between representatives of federal and regional authorities, heads of major network and generation companies, equipment manufacturers, scientific organizations and associations, Russian and foreign experts to discuss pressing issues of converting priority energy infrastructure through the introduction of digital technologies and platform solutions.

In 2019, IFES business events were honored by 386 industry experts and 17,888 participants. The exhibition was attended by 405 exhibitors from 31 countries – manufacturers of high-tech equipment, domestic and foreign developers, innovative companies and startups.

Magnitosila, presented its products, and also held a series of negotiations with potential customers!

Special cores

Magnitosila specializes in the production of magnetic cores not only of standard configurations for power three-phase transformers. The scope of our capabilities includes the manufacture of almost any charge specialized magnetic cores.

Our reference list includes:

  • single-phase and three-phase magnetic cores for induction furnaces;
  • magnetic cores for arcing reactors;
  • magnetic cores for regulatory systems;
  • magnetic cores of quenching plants;
  • magnetic circuits for water-cooled inductors
  • and many others.

Experienced designers and engineers of our plant are ready to adapt the customer’s documentation to modern materials and technologies, as well as to develop a magnetic circuit design in the complete absence of design data (from a living sample or according to the technical task).

Magnetic cores laminations using STEP-LAP technology

STEP-LAP technology in the manufacture of magnetic cores can significantly reduce no load losses in the finished product (compared to a combined joint). This is especially true in the production of power and distribution transformers with capacities above 160 kVA.

The capabilities of our production allow us to produce and ship individual sheets of magnetic cores to the customer. The need for separate sheets is relevant if the customer has his own section for assembling magnetic cores. At the same time, the site must have specialized equipment, equipment and qualified personnel

The transverse cutting of electrical steel for magnetic cores according to the “step-lap” technology is a set of magnetic circuit plates laid in bags on pallets. Steel grade, plate geometry (see the section on technical production capabilities), step-lap parameters, requirements for stacking packages and fixing plates on pallets can be made in accordance with customer requirements.

Second quarter of 2019

The second quarter of 2019 and the summer period as a whole, as always, are marked by a surge in demand.

The main core products of our plant again became: cores for dry type power transformers (average power 1250kVA)

However, not a small share in the manufactured assortment was occupied by non-standard magnetic cores and sheets of magnetic cores for subsequent assembly

Magnetic cores laminations using combined joints

Sheets of magnetic cores according to the technology of combined joint (direct joint)

The combined joint, as well as the direct joint, are the most traditional technologies used in the manufacture of transformers. These technologies are used to reduce the cost of the magnetic circuit and simplify assembly. At the same time, no-load losses increase in comparison with STEP-LAP technology on similar magnetic cores. Also, direct and combined joints are used in a number of specialized (including furnace and induction) transformers.

The supply of individual sheets of the magnetic circuit according to the technology of direct and combined joints is relevant if the customer has specialized equipment, equipment and qualified personnel for self-assembly.

When shipped, the transversely cut electrical steel for magnetic cores with a combined joint is a set of magnetic core plates stacked in bags on pallets. Steel grade, plate geometry (see the section on technical production capabilities), requirements for stacking packages and fixing plates on pallets can be made in accordance with customer requirements.

Power Grids 2018, Moscow

“Magnitosila” already traditionally, took part in the international forum “Power Grids 2018”

Says the General Director, A. Zubarkov:

“I have been familiar with the “Power Grids of Russia” exhibition for at least 12 years and am glad that in 2018 a qualitatively new stage in the development of this event was held. This forum, rightfully, can be considered the main and most representative event of the year in the electric power industry. That is why our company traditionally chooses “Power Grids” as a platform for the presentation of relevant products and meetings with partners!
At the stand of Magnitosila, the dominant feature was an eight-hundred-kilogram magnetic circuit for a dry power transformer made using step-lap technology. The product is specific, and the more valuable is the high interest of visitors to it. Compared to last year, we noted approximately 50% more visitors and productive contacts. For us, this is the main indicator.
If we talk about the forum as a whole, then the representation of system giants (Rosseti, Rostec, etc.) has clearly increased, which gives hope for increased government attention to the problems of the electric grid complex. ”
