Die, Matrix and Punch Sharpening

Magnitosila's tooling department sharpens dies, matrices, punches and other production tooling on surface-grinding machines.

This service is used when it is important to restore a cutting edge, preserve tooling geometry and extend service life without manufacturing a new tool set.

• flat production tooling and tooling components by agreement.

How sharpening is performed

Before machining, the tool is inspected for chips, wear and damage to the working surface. We then remove only the necessary allowance and restore the flatness and cutting edge. If wear is critical and sharpening will not ensure normal operation, we inform the customer in advance.
