Assembled Transformer Magnetic Cores

An assembled magnetic core is the ready core of a transformer, manufactured in accordance with the customer's design documentation. The supply can include cut magnetic-core laminations, insulation components, core steelwork, stacking, assembly and preparation for shipment.

Magnitosila has specialised in these products since 2015. The company has manufactured and supplied more than 1,500 magnetic cores for dry-type and oil-filled transformers, reactors and specialised equipment.

What production includes

• review of drawings, bills of materials and material requirements;
• longitudinal and cross-cutting of electrical steel;
• manufacture of core laminations, insulation parts and core steelwork;
• stacking, assembly, pressing and dimensional inspection of the core;
• packing and preparation for safe transport.

When this supply format is useful

Supplying an assembled magnetic core reduces the workload on the customer's assembly department: the product arrives ready for winding installation and final transformer assembly. This format is particularly useful for serial production, for manufacturers with limited stacking capacity and for heavy custom cores.

In-house capabilities

Our workshop, lifting equipment and internal logistics allow us to manufacture assembled magnetic cores weighing up to 25 tonnes. The design, steel grade, joint configuration, insulation requirements, packaging and inspection criteria are agreed with the customer before production begins.
